Expressive, Floral Watercolours
In this beginner friendly class taught by Tetiana Markova, students will learn how to create a loose and expressive floral composition in watercolour. The focus will be on composition, colour mixing, values, layering, wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry techniques, and confident brushshwork.

Non Member Price: $ 50 +
+There will be a $6 kit fee payable to Tetiana on the day of the class.
The instructor will provide Arches 140 lb/300 gsm cold-press 9 × 12 inch watercolour paper for the workshop, pencils, a paper towel, and masking tape.
At the conclusion of the day, students will have completed a 9" x 12" expressive floral watercolour, which we are sure they will be proud to hang in their home.

Students to bring:
Students should bring professional-quality watercolour paints, a selection of watercolour brushes, a palette for colour mixing, two water containers, a pencil, an eraser, a kneadable eraser, and masking tape.
About the Artist Teacher:
Tanya Markova is a visual artist and art educator with a unique background in biology. Her artistic journey began through detailed botanical, animal, and anatomical drawing during her biology studies, leading her to discover her deep love of art and the natural world. Today, Tanya combines her scientific and artistic perspectives in her work, with nature serving as a constant source of inspiration. Her teaching style is warm, supportive, and hands-on, encouraging students to explore colour, composition, brushwork, and their own creative expression.
